Summer on the westhill
School is over. Grades are a drag, but switching to Geog has me excited for what's to come. The daily routine this week has me sleeping for somewhere between 10 and 12 hours a night in an effort to catch up on all that was lost in the past year. I wake up every morning to gaze upon the grandeur of the ridge and valley to the south. Double espresso of the home roast and it's off to bike practice by noon. This week I've been privileged enough to ride this dream. What a super titz race bike. Perfect geometry in my opinion; sticks to the corners like glue and fits me like a glove. See you'nz at French Crick. Cheers.

I'll take mine medium rare,
What a change it is to live in a house. I have been riding more, sleeping more, eating more (and better), napping more and sleeping more. The only thing that isnt more is stress, and i cant quite remember exactly what that feels like. Friday night was full of breaking the neighbor's storm door, getting hassled by meatheads, old main lawn parties and cycle-drag racing on college ave. Saturday brought burgers on the grill, improv. live music street parties with random drunk kids and mackin' it with my new favorite doggy, "dood", who can smooch 'em better than Reading can smooch meathead's girlfriends at the same party. Zach Braff made an appearance on Saturday night to woo the attention of a cutie neo-prepster named Adrienne. Quite a task it was. Although lady love was 23, gradgitated from cawledge, already employed as a consultant somewhere in D.C and "a little too old" for me, I was the most intelligent and classy freshie they'd ever met. Then she drove away to DC and out of my life, with only a matching highligher tattoo to remember her with; saying, www.(^insertauthorhere^).com. Yes, Random.
I found a new favorite activity over the weekend. I think in a few years time it could be a potential redneck olympic sport, if it isnt already. The idea is to wait around until dusk, when bats come out of their hiding spot in the attic and fly around the back yard looking for bugs. A handfull of small pebbles is gathered and the participant stands in the middle of the yard and waits for the bat to circle overhead of the yard. Once the bat is in close proximity to the yard, a small stone is thrown into the air in front of the bat, who will recognize it with sonar superpowers and mistake it for a bug, swooping down out of the air to eat it. The point of the game is to get the bat to swoop as close as possible to the heads of others. Winner is the one who can get the bat to come the closest.

It's been a while since I have written in here, but I think im in need of some sort of semi creative outlet.
First, im tired of school. Second, im tired of having a roommate who gets fucked up every day and keeps me awake until 3 in the morning. Some people just dont get it. Somehow i got to sleep around 12 tonight, only to be rudely awakened by lights and hacking at the computer keyboard at 1:30. Not back to sleep now, ass hole. Tomorrow, er today, when i get back up at 9, im running the coffee grinder and slamming the door when i go in and out. That'll learn 'em. I've found that it's incredibly hard to live in the same room with someone who has a completely different schedule and interests than you. It's even more difficult when they dont have any respect for your interests and believe that the dorm room belongs to them, so they should be able to do whatever the hell they want to, whenever they want to, and it is absurd that you make any request for some compromise. I cant wait for the summer. I have a sweet job with the department of agriculture plum pox virus survey; walking through orchards, picking leaves and putting them in a bag, and actually getting paid well for it. Most of all, i need a new routine to get worn out of.
I've started working at The Bicycle Shop. Pretty laid back place, and a nice part time job that doesnt add any stress on top of school. Also started doing a little bit of the training thing. Went out with the moustache after my hour spin class for a mountain road ride on some of the dirt roads in bear meadows. It was freeking cold.
Gotta sleep, somehow.
